NETA Commissioning

Independent, standards-based commissioning that verifies your electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, and ready for service before energization.

What Is NETA Commissioning?

NETA commissioning is a systematic process of inspecting, testing, and verifying newly installed electrical equipment and systems against manufacturer specifications and industry standards — before they are placed into service. It is performed by qualified, independent third-party technicians who have no stake in the installation itself.

J. Wesley Services Group performs commissioning in accordance with the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) Acceptance Testing Specifications (ATS). These specifications define the minimum requirements for testing new electrical equipment and provide clients with documented proof that every component has been verified to perform as designed.

What NETA Standards Mean for You

Commissioning to NETA ATS is not just a best practice — it is a critical safeguard for your investment, your people, and your operations.

Independent verification

NETA-certified testing is performed by a third party with no connection to the installing contractor, eliminating conflicts of interest and providing an unbiased assessment of system readiness.

Documented baseline

Every test produces a written report with measured values, pass/fail results, and equipment data. This baseline is invaluable for future maintenance, troubleshooting, and insurance purposes.

Reduced risk at energization

Defects found before energization are far less costly — and far less dangerous — than failures discovered under load. NETA commissioning catches wiring errors, loose connections, and equipment defects before they become incidents.

Code and specification compliance

Many project specifications, insurance carriers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) require NETA-compliant commissioning. Our reports satisfy those requirements and support project closeout.

Extended equipment life

Equipment that is properly commissioned from day one operates within design parameters, reducing wear and extending service life across the entire electrical system.

Peace of mind

When J. Wesley Services Group signs off on a system, owners and operators can be confident that every component has been tested, documented, and verified by experienced, certified professionals.

Equipment We Commission
